All three are now at a walking level in the nest. They turn on their flashlights and move forward.
Graham and Peterson alarmed when they see a few of the big creatures, they ready their flamethrowers.
P. MEDFORD: Hold it, they're dead. They would have attacked us right away.
They move on. Patricia stops and inspects the tunnel wall.
P. MEDFORD: Look, held together with saliva.
PETERSON: Spit's all that's holding me together right now too.
They arrive at an opening that leads to another level of the nest. They drive an anchor into the ground, secured a rope and descend further.
Suddenly they hear a faint crumbling sound coming from the tunnel wall. It gets louder.
The wall bursts open and a giant ant comes through, screeching it's high pitch sound.
Graham and Peterson trigger their flamethrowers, igniting the creature with a blanket of flames.
GRAHAM: How come the gas didn't knock them off?
P. MEDFORD: The chamber must have caved in. Maybe from the first bombing. Sealed up that way, the gas couldn't reach them.
GRAHAM: Well, if we run into any more live ones, science or no science, we're getting out of here.
