GRAHAM: Now look here Dr. Medford, before we do anymore visiting any place, I want to know exactly what this "IT" is.
H. MEDFORD: Gentlemen, I understand your impatience. I know you two are concerned with solving what is essentially a local crime, but please believe me, I am not being coy with you. No, if I am wrong in my assumptions, then no harm has been done. But if I am correct, and the mounting evidence only fortifys my theory, then something incredible has happened in this desert. In which case, none of us would dare risk revealing it, because none of us can risk a nationwide panic.
GRAHAM: A panic?
Patricia is exploring other nearby areas, she notices another one of the strange prints.
Suddenly she hears the strange high pitch sound. The men take notice also.
Patricia looks around the desert, the sound continues, getting louder. From above, the large creature appears over the ledge.
Patricia screams, stumbling to run away.
Graham races to her aid and begins firing his gun at the creature. Peterson joins in with his revolver.
The hand guns seem to do no apparent damage. They continue firing, but it doesn't back down.
H. MEDFORD: Get the antennas!
Peterson was able to hit one of the antennas, then races to the squad car, Harold screams the same at Graham.
H. MEDFORD: Get the other antenna! He's helpless without them!
After a few tries, Graham hits the other antenna.
