The news about Lucy shooting the patient has spread, so as she makes her way through the airport, she changes her hair color and style.

She calls a French policeman, Captain Pierre Del Rio (Amr Waked), to inform him of the other drug mules.

Lucy: I need you to arrest them and collect the substance.

Del Rio has various groups of authority apprehending the three mules and requests they be transferred to his location.

Lucy boards the plane and continues her research on the brain, typing on her laptop at rapid-fire pace.

A female flight attendant asks Lucy to turn off her computer.

Lucy: [without looking at her] You should wipe your nose.

The flight attendant discovers her nose is bleeding while Lucy requests a glass of champagne.

A male attendant returns with her champagne and repeats the request to close her table. But using her new powers, she manipulates the attendant's mind to ignore his own request and he walks away. Lucy makes a toast.

Lucy: To knowledge.

Lucy drinks her champagne, then discovers a tooth in her glass, then she spits up three more teeth. The scene is intercut with Professor Norman giving his earlier presentation about a cell choosing immortality.

Her skin starts to disintegrate, in plain sight of the passengers and flight attendants.

Lucy runs to the bathroom, where her fingers start to disappear, making it difficult to lock the door but she manages to lock it.

Flight Attendant: Miss, open the door! We're going to land soon. Open the door! Please say something. Are you okay? Miss? Miss, please open the door.

Her face begins to sort of melt. She pulls out the rest of the CPH4 and snorts it. She falls back while all of her transforms into light beams of energy before restoring to normal as she passes out.

At Del's Rio's police office, he is consulting with a doctor who treated Lucy and examined her stomach incision.

Doctor: Pretty recent, with thread in it.

Del Rio: How is she?

Doctor: Fine. She's sleeping. With the shot I gave her, she'll be out all day.

Lucy's eye flashes open, revealing pupils of different species each time she blinks, then back to her normal eye. Lucy sits up from the hospital bed with Del Rio and other officers and doctors waiting. A nurse alerts Del Rio and group when she discovers Lucy is awake. Lucy comes out into the hall, back in her clothes. They are surprised she freed herself of the restraints. She is surrounded by armed cops. Del Rio points his gun at her and warns her not to move.

Lucy: I need to talk to you alone.

With a wave of her fingers, she is able to put them all to sleep, except for Del Rio. As she walks closer, all of his bullets drop to the floor.

Lucy: Did you get the packets?

Realizing it's futile to hold his gun on her, Del Rio drops his guard.

Del Rio: Yes.

Lucy: Where are they?

Del Rio: They're safe. Here.

Lucy: They'll be safer in my hands.

At that moment, Del Rio's men bring the last mule to the Du Val De Grace Hospital.

Del Rio and Lucy have taken off in his police car when she notices all the people and their various mobile devices. She can see streams of energy emitting from each person's call signal. Lucy is able to manipulate the streams of energy reflected on the car windshield. Del Rio, who obviously cannot see the streams of energy, watches her strange behavior as she fingers the glass. Lucy activates his scanner and listens in on a conversation spoken in Korean.

That phone conversation is Jii (Nicolas Phongpheth), one of Jang's henchmen who had been staking out the Du Val De Grace Hospital, who is informing Jang of the arrival of the mules. She decides to take the wheel as Del Rio protests, but he is shoved into the passenger seat using her powers.

Jii enters the hospital watching the guards assigned to the mule as more henchmen join him. They immediately kill the guards with silencers to apprehend the mules.

Lucy is driving manically through the streets, causing multiple car crashes, but she manages to zig zag around all of them to avoid the pile ups.

Del Rio: Do you always drive like that?

Lucy: I've never driven before.

Del Rio is now freaking out when she reveals they are running late and enters a one way street, heading towards vehicles traveling in the opposite direction.

Del Rio: Hey, I'd rather be late than dead.

Lucy: We never really die.

At the hospital, the henchmen cut the drugs out of the first mule and Jii kills a second one when he tries to speak up.

Lucy is driving through sidewalks as bystanders dive out of the way and they are now being chased by police cars. Del Rio is about to call in to have those cops stop following them.

Lucy: Don't bother.

On that note, we see the police cars somersaulting through the street. She easily neutralizes more police cars by using her powers to activate road block columns embedded in the street. The frenzied drives ends with them pulling up to the front door of the Du Val De Grace Hospital.

The henchmen are removing the drugs from the second mule when a cop stumbles in and they begin exchanging fire. He kills a number of henchmen before getting shot himself. The blast of the cop's gun alerts other officers and they come running. The third mule tries to escape, but a henchmen shoots him. His body lands at the feet of Lucy, with Del Rio behind her, gun ready.

Still in the room with the dead mules, Jii packs up the drugs and joins his henchmen in the hall. He is surprised to see Lucy facing them. He orders the henchmen to kill her and get the pouch.

Jii heads for the exit, but is stopped by an invisible barrier created by Lucy. Suddenly all of the henchmens' weapons fly to the ceiling, which forces them to rely on hand to hand combat. Their swinging strikes are futile as she walks through them, using her powers of levitation. With all the henchmen now floating helplessly in the air, she comes face to face with Jii. She easily confiscates the briefcase as he is frozen in place, unable to stop her.

Lucy returns to Del Rio and the third mule, and forces her hand through the dead mule's stomach incision to remove the last bag of C.P.H.4. She starts to leave, but requests Del Rio to go with her. He thinks he is of no use to her, but she walks over to him and kisses him, asking him to come "as a reminder."

Jang, in his car nearby, spots Lucy and Del Rio, and orders his driver to follow them. Lucy phones Norman, which he informs her he is now at the university with trusted colleagues.

Just as he requests that she meets them there, to his surprise, she enters the university room with Del Rio. Norman introduces his colleagues, but she already knows who they are. One of the professors (Pierre Poirot) requests Lucy to show them a sample of her abilities. Fear grips him when she grabs his shoulder and recounts a personal tragedy from his past.

Lucy: Your daugter, Gabrielle, age six, died in a car accident. It was a blue car, leather seats, plastic bird hanging from the rear view mirror.

Just outside the university, Jang is parked nearby as Jii arrives with several henchmen. Jii fears Lucy is a witch, but Jang is determined to kill her himself. Lucy senses the henchmen outside and requests Del Rio to secure the room so she can stay focused. Moments later, Jii and the henchmen see several cops enter the hospital as Jang's men load up with weapons and bullet proof vests.

Now gathered at a table, a professor (loïc brabant) asks her how she managed to access all this information. To their astonishment, she demonstrates her abilities as she explains, including mutating her hand and levitation.

Lucy: Electrical impulses. Every cell knows and talks to evey other cell. They exchange a thousand bits of information between them per second. Cells group together, forming a giant web of communication, which in turn forms matter. Cells get together, take on one form, deform, reform. Makes no difference, it's all the same. Humans consider themselves unique, so they've rooted their whole theory of existence on their uniqueness.

While Lucy is explaining, Jang and his men infiltrate the university.

Lucy: "One" is their unit of measure. But it's not. All social systems we've put in place are a mere sketch. One plus one equals two. That's all we've learned. But one plus one has never equaled two. There are, in fact, no numbers and no letters. We've codified our existence to bring it down to human size to make it comprehensible. We've created a scale so that we can forget its unfathomable scale.

Norman: But if humans are not the unit of measure and the world isn't governed by mathmatical laws, what governs all that?

Using her powers, Lucy activates a visual presentation in midair.

Lucy: Film a car speeding down the road. Speed up the image infinitely and the car disappears. So what proof do we have of its existence? Time gives legitimacy to its existence. Time is the only true unit of measure. It gives proof to the existence of matter. Without time, we don't exist.

Norman: Time is unity.

At that moment, the henchmen begin blasting away at the police. Del Rio warns Lucy they won't be able to hold them much longer.

Lucy gives the rest of the CPH4 to the professors for them to synthesize into a liquid material that goes into her bloodstream. Norman is concerned she is about to receive such huge dosages, but she explains it's required to attain the remaining percent of brain capacity.

Norman: But all this knowledge, Lucy. I'm not even sure that mankind is ready for it. We're so driven by power and profit. Given man's nature, it might only bring us instability and chaos.

Lucy: Ignorance brings chaos, not knowledge. I'll build a computer and download all my knowledge in it. I'll find a way for you to have access to it.

Norman: I just hope we will be worthy of your sacrifice.

As the dosage is injected in her, Del Rio and his men confront the Jang gang in a standoff. Both parties begin blasting away at each other. The drug causes Lucy to emit light beams of energy from her mouth.

Her increasing mentals powers are causing objects to fling off in the room on their own while raised veins of welts form on her arm.

Lucy's hands start to turn into a black wormy sort of goo that attaches itself to the computers in the room, giving Lucy more energy from matter, and thereby supplying her with an insane amount of power.

As her brain function continues to increase, she manipulates matter in such a way that she seems to erase everything in the room, leaving the professors standing in white space before creating some kind of new age super computer before their eyes.

From outside, as Jang's men are shot down by the police, he orders Jii to do something. Jii takes a rocket launcher and blasts through the room, sending Lucy thousands of miles to Times Square.

She manages to move time with a wave of her hand. She travels backwards, from early 20th century New York, to colonial times, even all the way to prehistoric times to come face-to-face with the proto - human from the opening scene.

They touch fingers, sending Lucy through the cosmos and all of space and time, giving her unlimited and infinite power.

Jang enters the room and slowly raises his gun to Lucy's head. And then she reaches 100%. Her body disappears, leaving her clothes behind. Jang fires his gun at nothing. Del Rio comes in and shoots Jang to death. The black matter in the room disappears and morphs into a flash drive that lands in Norman's hands, thus expanding and completing his research.

Del Rio: Hey, where is she?

He looks at his cell phone which shows text: "I am everywhere."

The film concludes with an overhead shot of Jang's corpse while Lucy's voice narrates . . .

Lucy: Life was given to us a billion years ago. Now you know what to do with it.
