Toombs looks back to the cargo area, the Merc missing. He activates the auto-hover functions, but before he can move, Riddick is already sitting in the ship. Riddick, "You made three mistakes. First, you took the job. Second, you came light. A four man crew for me? Fucking insulting. But the worse mistake you made . . . empty gun rack."
Toombs is standing with his hand reaching for nothing but air in the gun rack. Riddick lunges forward lightning quick and slams Toombs' head into the ship ceiling.
Holding his knife on Toombs, Riddick interrogates him regarding the bounty on him. Toombs pretty much tells him everything he wanted to know. The bounty on Riddick is 1.5 mil, but he doesn't know who requested it, the data sheet said anonymous according to Toombs.
Under further threat by Riddick, Toombs reveals the bounty originated from Helion Prime. Riddick asks Toombs one more question, "Last question . . . and you better get this one right, Merc. Who's ship is this?" Toombs looks up at Riddick sheepishly, "Mine?"
Outside on the cave ground, the Merc that survived the fall is gathering himself, he looks up just in time to see Toombs come crashing down on him. Riddick climbs in the cockpit and jets out of the cave.
Riddick programs the auto navigation for Helion Prime and prepares himself for cryosleep. He connects I.V. tubes to his arm, we see one tube fill with blood. A moment later, we see a violet solution. His thoughts wander, he knew they would come for him. It took them five years, but he knew. He doesn't expect these mercs to have any honor, any code.
But this new bounty from a holy man, a guy whose neck he saved. Lesson learned. No such word as friend. Can only end bad when he lets someone get too close. Bad for them. So now it's back to all the brightness . . . and everything he hates. He wonders if "she" will be there.
In the Igneon System, on Planet Crematoria: Cut to a dark prison corridor with cavernous walls. Three slam guards are hauling a mobile cage to a prison cell. They are greeted by various sounds of grunts and growls from unknown beasts in the rows of heavy metal cages.
They park the mobile cage at a cage cell opening. Something or someone is inside, pissed. We see glimpse of a young woman, smudged with filth . . . all but the animal side. Two slam guards prod her to enter the cell, she refuses.
The slam guards get more aggressive using metal bars, she grabs it and thrusts it right into a guard's groin. A scream of pain. The third guard, points a large gun into a breathing hole of the mobile cage, she finally relents and enters the cage cell.
A guard slams the cell door shut and locks her in. After they leave, the growling and howls of the beasts, her cell mates, grow louder and louder as she tries in vain to mute the sound by covering her ears.
In the cockpit of the confiscated craft: Riddick appears to be in a half dream / half awake trance. He's looking at the navigation panel, mysteriously it reads coordinates for Furya then switches to Helion Prime, is he dreaming? The steady drip of the cryosleep solution, a violet splash.
A vision of a woman appears. Shira, a Furyan, walking in a cemetery, twisted tree branches dominate the background. They say most of your brain shuts down in cryosleep. All but the primitive side. The animal side. All but the Furyan side. Some of us still remember the true crime that happened on Furya. And once you wake . . . truly wake . . . you'll remember too. She reaches out with her hand touches him on the chest. An illuminescent mist surrounds her hand.
Suddenly he is abruptly woken from a sharp jostle of the ship. A Mecca escort ship is along side him. Through radio transmission, the pilot is ordering him to Space Port Six for security inspection. Ignoring the warning, Riddick swoops his ship under the escort ship. He accelerates upwards, a violent bump on the under belly of the escort ship sends if out of control. Riddick glides into the clouds.
