SFMZ's The Thing Photoshop

The Thing's Two Face

During that scene which Blair is doing an autopsy of the charred remains, the camera shows a closeup of the face. But the camera pans from the upper face to the lower face. You never really see the two-face creature as a whole.

I imported key frames from that sequence, into Photoshop and merged them using layers and fading effects to compose the complete picture. Now you can see the alien two-face in one shot. Click image for a larger view.

The Thing's Chestburster

This is the scene where the alien bursts from Norris' chest. The camera starts at Norris' exploded body and then pans up to the creature's face and arachnoid-type limbs clinging on to the ceiling structure, but we never really see the entire visual as a whole.

I applied the same Photoshop process, imported key frames from that sequence, applied layers and fading effects to compose the complete picture. Now you can see the horrific visual in one image. Click image for a larger view.
