CUT TO EXT. CITYSCAPE & THE SPINNER - MORNING: A bleak morning. The police spinner is whizzing through the city. Deckard and Gaff are traveling to the Tyrell Corporation.

CUT TO INT. SPINNER: Gaff is terse and silent at the controls.

Deckard looks very rumpled as he sits sleepily in the passenger seat.

CUT TO EXT. INDUSTRIAL AREA: With escorts in tow, the spinner glides over a sea of industrial landscape.

Deckard and Gaff cruise without speaking to each other as another spinner zips by.

Gaff maintains his focus silently. His thoughts are anyone's guess, perhaps resentment of having to play Deckard's limo driver, who knows where his thoughts are wandering.

Gaff guides the spinner around an industrial stack, his command of the spinner is near flawless.

Deckard also continues his silence, either he's taking in the scenery or simply bored, his expression reveals little of his thoughts.

Their journey across the industrial landscape leads them towards the large pyramid shaped building. Other spinners are gliding around the large construct.

Deckard gazes at the massive building in awe, as if it was the latest addition to the great wonders of the world.

This is the headquarters and home of Dr. Eldon Tyrell, a corporate mogul who built an empire on genetically manipulated humanoid slaves.

CUT TO EXT. THE PYRAMID: The spinner is in a holding pattern.

Traffic control purrs its soft electronic instruction into the cockpit as the spinner rocks gently lower, spiralling into the vortex.

CUT TO INT. TYRELL OFFICE: An Owl flaps around the huge marble office.

Now we see for the first time, Rachael, a beautiful woman in her late twenties dressed with taste and dignity.

RACHAEL: Do you like our owl?

DECKARD: It's artificial?

RACHAEL: Of course it is.

DECKARD: Must be expensive.

RACHAEL: Very. I'm Rachael.

DECKARD: Deckard.

RACHAEL: It seems you feel our work is not a benefit to the public.

DECKARD: Replicants are like any other machine. They either a benefit or a hazard. If they're a benefit, it's not my problem.

RACHAEL: May I ask a personal question?

DECKARD: Sure.

Deckard sits down at the conference table.
